Encore AI Secures $30M Series A to Build AI Agents from Customer Call Data

Encore AI, a startup analyzing customer interactions to build specialized AI voice agents, has successfully closed a $30 million Series A funding round led by Team8. Founded in 2022 as Insait IO, the company began by developing recommendation software for financial advisers. Rebranded as Encore AI, the platform now analyzes conversations between employees and customers to identify successful approaches and train AI agents. CEO Dvir Ginzburg calls this process 'interaction mining,' where the company collects call recordings, emails, and text messages, integrating them with CRM systems. The platform segments customer interactions to determine which parts drive success, then uses these insights to train AI agents. The result is an AI agent that mirrors the most effective 'playbooks' used by employees, even replicating jokes and anecdotes. Encore AI's agents can communicate directly with customers via voice or text, or assist employees by recommending responses and strategies. The company serves over 40 enterprise clients, primarily financial institutions, with annual recurring revenue (ARR) increasing more than 5x since its seed round. While major CRM providers like Salesforce, SAP, Zoho, and HubSpot could develop similar AI capabilities, Ginzburg argues that integrating conversational history requires a full overhaul of their existing processes. Planven, Lukatz, and Garage also participated in the round. The startup plans to use proceeds to expand U.S. sales operations and deploy its platform with more financial institutions.
This funding round marks a pivotal moment for AI-driven customer interaction solutions. Markets see Encore AI's data-centric approach as a competitive edge against traditional CRM providers. The company's strong position with financial clients could drive future growth potential.
