ASML has taken a new front in the chip crisis. The company has raised its 2026 sales forecasts and announced a capacity expansion plan. This move has eased concerns about an AI chip bottleneck. ASML now expects full-year 2026 net revenue of €43 billion to €45 billion, an increase of 16% at the midpoint from its earlier forecast range of €36 billion to €40 billion. The company plans to increase capacity by 30% in each of the coming two years to meet what CEO Christophe Fouquet described as "extremely strong" customer demand for its lithography "chip-printing" tools required to make advanced AI chips.
