Enfinity and Strioga Partner on 150MW BESS in Italy
Enfinity Global and E Energy Invest, the investment arm of the Strioga Family Foundation, have formed a co-investment partnership for a 150 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Livorno, Tuscany, Italy. The facility features a four-hour storage duration and 600 MWh total capacity, with Strioga Family Foundation acquiring a 49.9% equity stake and Enfinity Global retaining 50.1% control. Enfinity Global will oversee the project’s remaining development and construction phases, as well as long-term asset management. CEO Carlos Domenech emphasized the partnership’s role in connecting capital to Europe’s energy transition, leveraging Enfinity’s integrated platform for critical infrastructure. The project strengthens Italy’s 6.7 GW BESS portfolio, supporting grid flexibility and renewable energy integration. Enfinity Global has previously secured 1.1 GW of assets through partnerships with Azerbaijan’s sovereign wealth fund and undisclosed investors. CEO Gediminas Uloza highlighted Strioga’s strategic focus on European renewable energy collaborations. The initiative complements Enfinity’s 1 GW solar and storage platform in Italy, backed by power purchase agreements and auction contracts. Advisors included Advant NCTM for Enfinity and Green Horse/Natural Power for Strioga. In October 2025, Enfinity also finalized a 486 MW BESS deal with a European investor.
