Turkey's domestically developed Milli Electric Train sets will commence operations on the Uzunköprü-Halkalı-Uzunköprü route on July 22. Produced by TÜRASAŞ, these trains reach a speed of 160 km/h while offering a 324-passenger capacity, marking a transformation in regional transportation. Minister Uraloğlu highlights a 20-year locomotive legacy; since 2023, the trains have completed 11,551 journeys, covered 1,122,000 km, and transported 2,634,363 passengers.
