Borsa İstanbul saw a volatile week marked by U.S.-Iran tensions and global energy concerns, with local markets also experiencing sectoral polarization. The BIST 100 index dropped 1.69% to 14,079.97, with financial leasing and factoring sectors suffering the worst decline at 9.41%, while the tech sector gained 1.86%. Thursday saw a rebound with a 1.22% increase, led by the chemicals, oil, and plastics sector at 3.90%. Friday ended with a 1.90% decline due to selling pressure.
